Twenty-five years after environmental collapse left the Earth uninhabitable, a wealthy family Mother, Father and Son, and their staff, are confined to their palatial bunker inside a salt mine, where they struggle to maintain hope. This changes with the arrival of a stranger, Girl. Son, a naïve twenty-something who has never seen the outside world, is fascinated by the newcomer, and suddenly the delicate bonds that have held them together begin to fray. A satirical post-apocalyptic musical fairy tale, directed by award-winning documentarian Joshua Oppenheimer (The Act of Killing) with songs composed by Joshua Schmidt and Marius de Vries.
