Join us for an evening of Irish tunes, songs and dance with artist Eimear Walshe and their collaborators to celebrate the opening of Walshe’s exhibition MIXED MESSAGES FROM THE IRISH REPUBLIC.

Performer biographies

Eimear Walshe (b. Longford, 1992, they/them) is an artist from Longford, Ireland. Their work traces the legacy of late 19th century land contestation in Ireland through private property, sexual conservatism, and the built environment. They have recently exhibited with Van Abbemuseum, EVA International, the National Sculpture Factory, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, with work held in the collections of the Arts Council and the Irish Museum of Modern Art.

Dylan Kerr is a performance artist/vocalist/composer based between Ireland and Berlin. They work within process composition, just intonation and improvisation, and combine their voice and instruments with various electro-acoustic methods.

Róis is a South Fermanagh Border born composer and multi-instrumentalist. Her work is an idiosyncratic blend of folk and Sean-nós song, electronics, jazz harmony and extended vocal techniques.

Seamas Hyland is a multi-instrumentalist and composer who focuses on both traditional and experimental music. He enjoys exploring the varied sonic capabilities of the button accordion and creating tonal landscapes using field recordings he collects. He recently released his debut solo album ‘Maidin Domhnaigh’.

Know Yourself is a radio project by Irish-Lebanese artist Colm Keady-Tabbal.
