At a young age, Monica was kicked out of her home by her mother Eugenia. Now she lives alone in Los Angeles, navigating the pain of an absentee lover. Then her sister-in-law Laura invites Monica home to Ohio in order to care for her ailing mother who she has not seen in 20 years. When she gets there, Eugenia no longer knows who she is. A beautiful, intimate portrait of a Trans woman that explores the universal issues of ageing, acceptance and forgiveness.
