In 1967 with South Africa under the control of the militant white supremacist government and crushing any opposition, Oliver Tambo, operating in exile, begins to build an underground movement. Recruiting sympathetic white people from London, he sets them on covert missions deep within the racist regime. This is the story of how ordinary people from the UK became freedom fighters for a country half a world away.

+ Q&A with Kingsley Mamabolo, South Africa High Commissioner to the UK; Gordon Main, Director; Sean Hosey, London Recruit and Professor Florence Ayisi from Cardiff University
