Ichiko is in her mid-20s when she disappears without a trace the day after her boyfriend Yoshinori proposes to her. When he tries to file a report, the police inform him that there seems to be no record of her existence. As he tries to do his own investigation Ichiko’s unfathomable past emerges and her strong will, along with a sad but shocking truth. Based on Akihiro Toda’s own award-winning play, this is a gripping psychological thriller that tackles issues of dark social justice in Japanese society.
