In the centre of a field in West Cornwall is the Londstone, a natural relic that has quietly witnessed 4,000 years of tumultuous history. In this meditative film, filmmaker Christopher Morris documents a year in the life of this monolith as it weathers the elements. Starting in Winter Solstice 2020, the people surrounding it go through a difficult time, and globally, the climate begins to unravel. Beautifully shot with richly layered sound design, this approach allows the audience to think about the man-made changes that the stone has seen.
Join us for a Q&A with Christopher Morris and Denzil Monk after the screening on Friday 22 September, 7.30pm.
