After teenager Alice drowns on a day out and the family begins to experience strange events in their home. Inviting a documentary crew in to help investigate, alongside a medium who unlocks secrets about Alice’s life that leads back to Lake Mungo. One of the best underseen horror films that goes beyond the creepy, fuzzy found footage premise to deliver a deeply moving and disturbing exploration of life after death.
We've teamed up with The Evolution of Horror, the UK’s #1 horror and film history podcast, to bring you a special screening of Lake Mungo.
Evolution of Horror will join us for this special presentation including an introduction from host Mike Muncer and a live Q&A with Mike and James Rendell after the film. Evolution of Horror is a weekly podcast in which Mike Muncer explores and dissects the history and evolution of the horror genre by looking at particular sub-genres one season at a time. Each episode, Mike is joined by a different guest: a critic, filmmaker or expert, to discuss a particular film in depth, to look at its place within a sub-genre and its impact on cinema history.
