Tunisian mother Olfa Hamrouni had four daughters, but the two eldest disappeared, never to return. Radicalised by Islamic extremists they went to fight in Libya to fight with ISIS. This Oscar-nominated documentary unpacks their complex history through intimate interviews and performance; casting professional actresses as the missing daughters along with acclaimed Egyptian-Tunisian Hend Sabri as Olfa. A riveting exploration of rebellion, memory and sisterhood that allows the women agency to tell their personal story of joy and loss, whilst reflecting on the tumultuous story of Tunisia in the wake of the Arab Spring, a promising movement that began in the country.
