Ticket Booking FAQ

I am a wheelchair user, how can I book an accessible seat?
All events in our Cinemas and Theatres have accessible seating as an option, select Accessible Seating in the Choose Tickets screen, and select your seat.
To ensure that you have the best customer service possible, sign up for a free Chapter Account and in the Details section select 'I am a Wheelchair User'

I have a Hynt/CEA card, how can I book a ticket for me and a companion/ carer?

We offer complimentary tickets for companions/carers, at the Choose Tickets screen select one Hynt Card ticket, and one companion/carer, the discount will automatically apply at checkout.

How can I find out if a Cinema Screening has Audio Description/ Soft Subtitles/ Captions/ Relaxed Screening/ BSL interpretation?

Events can be searched for by accessibility in the Accessible Events tab on our What's On page, look out for the AD, ST, BSL and other tags in the event as sometimes these will change nearer to the event.

I've changed my mind, can I swap my ticket?

All tickets are subject to a £1.50 exchange fee, to swap your ticket just email ticketing@chapter.org, give us a call on 02920 311 050 or drop in and speak to our Front of House Team at the Reception.

I can't attend an event anymore, can I receive a refund?
Unless the organiser of the event, Chapter or one of the many other organisations we work with, makes a change to the original billing, we are unable to refund any tickets sold. Please see our Refunds Policy for all information.

I can't find my tickets!

I'd like to review or profile an event at Chapter for a magazine / blog / journal / newspaper.
We offer complimentary tickets for press on selected exhibitions, films, performances, and events. Head to our Press section for more information, or contact our Head of Marketing & Communications.

All tickets are subject to a £1 transaction fee, and in the case of customer exchanges are subject to a £1.50 exchange fee.

Will this mean I get charged an extra £1 on every ticket?
No, you will only be charged per transaction, so whether you book one ticket or ten tickets at once, the £1 Transaction Fee will be the same.

What if I book in person or over the phone?

Regardless of how or where you book your tickets, the Transaction Fee will always apply, as we will always use the same systems.

What about free tickets? Do they have a transaction fee?

At the minute we are not charging a transaction fee for free tickets such as our Free Family Films or other free events.

How do I find out about your films/performances in the future?

The best way to see all our listings is either on www.chapter.org/whats-on or by signing up to our mailing list to receive our biweekly film guide.

Why is this being introduced now?

The spiralling cost of utilities and services has meant that our current prices were unsustainable, we have introduced this small fee to be able to ensure we can keep bringing you the best Welsh, UK and international film screenings, performances, art exhibitions and events of all things in between.

When are you introducing the fees?

Transaction Fees and Exchange Fees will come into effect from 10am, 11 December.

Is there any way to avoid the fees?

Sign up for a Ffrindiau Chapter Friends Card to receive a whole range of benefits, which include avoiding all Transaction and Exchange Fees. Sign up here to make amazing things happen at Chapter and receive some great perks while you’re at it.

Theatre & Live Performances

Prices of our performance programme vary from production to production. We offer a number of events through a pay what you can basis, which doesn't depend on a set price, instead, it offers tickets on a sliding scale for what can be afforded. There is no means testing, or questions asked for this, and is operated on an honesty basis. This is a small way to help make high quality performances more accessible, and ensure that artists are supported to make work here.
