Slime Mother: Access

We want everyone who attends Slime Mother to feel welcome, 

Here is a list of access information to help you plan your visit.

Launch events 

For the exhibition launch, there are three options for you to attend 

Friday 19 of July 

4 – 6 pm: a masked and perfume-free event. Sounds will be lowered to create a calmer atmosphere. 

6 – 8pm: a busier event with a live reading and pay bar. 


Saturday 20 July 

12pm: online tour by Abi with a live reading. Captioning and BSL translation are available. The event will be recorded and available online afterwards, with captions and BSL.

Mobility 

Chapter has level access and lifts throughout. There are wheelchair-accessible toilets on every floor. 

The exhibition and cafe are all on the ground floor. 

The exhibition has seating in every room. 


Sensory access

Sounds and lighting levels can be lowered on request. 

Sensory bags, ear defenders and sensory aids including fidget toys are available. . 

The exhibition has audio description available via QR code and a headset. 

Large print and easy read exhibition guides are available. 

The film in the exhibition has BSL in-vision.


Saturday 7 September — Two BSL-led in-person tours will take place and booking for these can be made via our website. 

Covid safety 

Every Thursday from 3 – 5pm, please wear a face mask in the gallery to allow immune-compromised friends to visit safely. 

The cafe has outdoor seating.
