Film highlights this month include a series of five new shorts; Late Night Tales from Wales plus Q&A with the filmmakers and this weekend we welcome Watch Africa back to our cinema.

All that plus a packed programme of free family films, new releases and firm favourites like Carry on Screaming, Chapter MovieMaker and Bad Film Club.

Dancer Elena and sign language interpreter Dovydas meet and form a beautiful bond in Marija Kavtaradze's feature film Slow. As they dive into a new relationship, they must navigate how to build their own kind of intimacy when Dovydas opens up about his asexual identity.

Join us for a bittersweet tale in latest documentary Catching Fire: Anita Pallenburg. Anita Pallenberg was at many points in her life a newspaper headline: a "rock n' roll goddess," a "voodoo priestess," and an "evil seductress." Those who loved her considered her an exciting cultural force and a loving mother and innocent of the accusations.

Emotions have become a threat as Gabrielle decides to purify her DNA in a machine that will plunge her into her past lives and rid her of all strong feelings. Inspired by Henry James' novella The Beast of the Jungle, Bertrand Bonello's The Beast is an intriguing and ravishing romantic film set in a dystopia that has eliminated the possibility of love.
