Film festival season is well underway after an incredibly successful weekend for Kotatsu Japanese Animation Festival! Thank you to everyone for joining us to celebrate the best of Japanese animation.

This week the incredible London Film Festival has begun, with star performances from Tia Nomore, Julia Garner, Paul Mescal, Jodie Comer just to name a few. Iris Prize is here for a movie marathon day screening the Best of Iris Shorts 2023, Welsh-made film Chuck, Chuck Baby and the provocative Femme.

Alongside the film festivals we’re showcasing Irish film The Miracle Club, starring the amazing Maggie Smith and Kathy Bates. Based on the wild true story of David vs Goliath is Craig Gillespie’s latest feature, Dumb Money, and the pulsing beats of Toronto’s hip hop scene, Brother!

Cardiff Animation Festival are on tour! Join us for the best compilation of films from CAF 2023, with filmed Q&A’s on Sunday 7 October.

Coming up in October we have BFI's season celebrating the creative wolds of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, and Welsh legend Roger Livesey as we dive into the themes and glorious artistry of the greatest British film studio.
