Calling all young filmmakers!

As part of our work with BFI Film Academy, we're delighted to offer 5 x £1000 filmmaking grants to young and aspiring Wales-based filmmakers.

The opportunity is open to those aged between 16-24 years, born or living in Wales. 

The purpose of the grants is to assist in production of a micro-short (60s - 120s film).

To apply, simply email a visual treatment, a synopsis and a budget outlining how you would spend the £1000 to learning@chapter.org. 

The 5 successful filmmakers will each be assigned a filmmaking mentor, who will advise on all aspects of the filmmaking process.

Applications will be evaluated on the strength of idea, and we particularly encourage applications from groups currently under represented in the industry.

Application deadline extended to: Wednesday 27 April, midday (production to be completed by Tuesday 31 May).
