Welcome to our Café Bar!

Our bright and spacious café bar’s open every day from 8:30am.

It’s the perfect place to enjoy art with your espresso, grab something tasty before a film or just linger with friends over something to share. We also offer a takeaway service for many items including hot drinks, sweet treats, sandwiches and savoury pastries.

Fast and free wifi is available and you’re welcome to use our laptop-friendly area as an ad hoc office or for informal meetings.

Our dedicated kitchen team provide fresh and seasonal options for breakfast, lunch and evening meal, and we tailor our menu to offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, children’s meals, halal and daily specials.

Sitting inside means you can explore our current Art in the Bar exhibition, or if you grab a spot in the Cwtch you can enjoy our amazing mural by local artists Matt Joyce & Sophie Potter.

If the weather’s nice, we have a fabulous beer garden which is covered in the colder months with patio heaters to keep you cosy when it gets a little chilly.

Chapter is a registered charity and every time you buy a cup of coffee, pint of beer or a meal, the proceeds help us to carry on supporting Wales’ artists and creative communities, and to engage with audiences through exhibitions, events and educational activity.

Finding a table

If you’re visiting our café bar, there’s no need to book. When you arrive, make your way in and find an available seat. Please note, we do not accept reservations.

Ordering food and drink

All our tables now have a QR code, so once you’ve found an available seat just scan, order, and pay with your phone. Alternatively, come up to the counter and order (you’ll need to let us know your table number). Whichever way you choose, a member of our team will bring your food and drink to the table.

The opening times and menu options for our café will vary depending on the day, but the bar will always be stocked with locally sourced ales, continental beers, and a selection of great wines.

Allergy advice

All our dishes are freshly prepared in the kitchen, so please ask if you have any special requirements. Be aware that all our food is made in an environment where nuts, gluten and other allergens are present, meaning we can’t guarantee that any food item is completely free from traces.
